This book is amazing. The author gives a hands on approach to helping the child, with word lists and mile markers /how to assess the child yourself and to 'test' for specific ages and grades. The first couple of books, I got some good laughs, but I felt that books 3 and 4 kept trying to draw upon that same humor, but it lost its effects with the over-use. This book deals with them one by one.
What I liked:
I learned a lot of "hidden" featureswell, hidden for beginners/intermediate users at least, some of which follow:
- Use of iterable to avoid repetition of value comparison. It is a strange addition to the game, especially since the merits seem to mostly be about making it easier for spirits to torment those that have them before getting to the drawbacks. Morris and Gish both ask why we do not find fossils with partly developed feathers, and I believe that the answer lies in the incomplete nature of the fossil record. Or maybe you will!. Great explanations, straig
