The main character is now a full Lieutenant and qualified navigation officer on a nuclear attack submarine. Anyone interested in small unit actions, or personal narratives of commando or infantry combat in World War II WILL LOVE THIS BOOK. "I was twelve years old, short for my age, with skinny arms and knobby knees." This could have been expressed in some other means, like through dialogue for example. This book is exactly what the fashion world needs more of: it is open minded.
